    INDIVIDUAL TOURS

    We can provide you with individual tour with guides fluent in English, German, Russian, French, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese.
    Below are prices for some of independent tours and three suggested itineraries as well. The days, itinerary and exit/entry methods can be changed to fit with your requirements (please note that some places in the DPRK are not open for tourist visits), this may, however, slightly alter the cost of the tour. But don't forget please that the tour is fully inclusive and our prices are very comparable.
     Remember please! You have to begin the application procedure at least 4 weeks before the departure date.                                                           

  What is in the tour price?

     Prices INCLUDE:

-     The cost of round-trip tickets (flight or flight/train) Beijing-Pyongyang-Beijing (flights with Air Koryo)
-     Your own tour itinerary
-     Twin room accommodation in the 4* hotel (Pyongyang) and 3* hotel in province
-     All travel within the DPRK
-     Three meals a day
-     Tour guides service
-     Entry tickets to all museums, exhibitions etc. included in the itinerary.

     Prices DO NOT include:

-     Visa fee ( about 40 Euro)
-     Single room supplement (40 Euro per person/night) 
-     Pyongyang airport departure tax (11 Euro)
-     Entry tickets for "special events" like Mass Games (from 40 Euro), Circus Performance (10 Euro) etc.
 -     Optional tips for guides and driver, your additional expenses for beverages etc.

    Remember please that individual tours to North Korea are very similar to group tours. Two guides and  driver accompany all tours. However, independent travelers will be offered an individual means of transportation and enjoy more time and flexibility.

Fri Breakfast. Panmunjom (village, where the 1953 armistice that halted the Korea War was signed), DMZ on the 38 parallel, Concrete Wall. Drive to Kaesong. Lunch at National Restaurant. Koryo Museum, Tomb of king Kongmin. Back to Pyongyang. Farewell Dinner at Pyongyang Duck Restaurant. Yanggakdo 4*

Kaesong - ancient capital of unified state Koryo, home of famous Koryo Insam (Ginseng). Tomb of king Kongmin, Koryo Museum, Sonjuk bridge. Sun Breakfast. Drive to the East Coast via trout farm for lunch, en-rout Ulim Waterfall. Wonsan - the biggest DPRK seaport. Chonsam Cooperative Farm, Schoolchildren's Palace, Songdowon International Schoolchildren's Camp, rest on the beach and swimming. Dinner and overnight at Tongmyong Hotel. Tongmyong Hotel 3*
Mon Breakfast. Walking in Kumgang mountains, rest on the Sijung lake (wonderful sand beach!). Picnic lunch. Back to Pyongyang. Koryo Medical Center, Circus performance. Farewell Dinner at Pyongyang Duck Restaurant. Yanggakdo 4*
Tues Breakfast. Transfer to airport, depart Pyongyang at 8:55 am. Arrival in Beijing at 9:55 am.

    Tour program will form by your individual requirements and will provide for visiting the most interesting places in DPRK, including places that have previously been closed to tourists.

     We can offer you also additional trip to Mt. Paekdusan ( highest peak of the Korean Peninsula - 2750m ) and  Mt. Chilbo by special charter flights (only if at least 10 persons join the tour). The world's highest and deepest Crater Lake Chon (384 m max depth) is on the top of sacred  Mt.Paekdusan. By funicular railway we can reach the top and then by cable car go down to the crater.  Mt.Chilbo ("7 treasures") and its landscape present fantastic sea views, deep valleys and waterfalls.  For more details about this option please contact us: info@korea-discovery.com 

 Booking and Payment

To book your individual tour please send us by fax filled out on-line application form.
 A tour deposit 300 EURO is required and should be paid by bank transfer, credit cards are not accepted. Your tour arrangement cannot be start before you paid tour deposit. The remaining tour fee should be paid either in cash (Euro) in Beijing at least 1-2 days before the departure to Pyongyang or by another bank transfer at least 15 days before the tour start.

 Cancellation and Insurance

     The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel the tour.  If however Korea Discovery cannot arrange your trip (due to visa refusal, "higher power" etc. )  full refund will be made.

      Remember please it is your responsibility to be covered by insurance that will include adequate cover for medical expenses, your baggage etc.
