North Korean “Dear Leader“ Kim Jong-il has died of a heart attack on December 17, 2011 at the age of 69, the North Korea's state news agency KCNA have announced. His youngest son Kim Jong-un described as the "great successor". The funeral ceremony for the late North Korean leader will start in the Kumsusan Memorial Palace (Pyongyang) on December 28.

Pyongyang will host 17th World Taekwondo Championship
January 13, 2011Pyongyang, capital city of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), was selected as the host of the 17th World Taekwondo Championships to be held from September 6 till September 12, 2011 the official KCNA news said. Pyongyang had hosted the 8th World Taekwondo Championships in 1992. Taekwondo fans welcome in Pyongyang in September 2011!

March 30, 2009Last news from Pyongyang - the spectacular performance Mass Games (Arirang) will take place on the May Day Stadium in August - September like in previous years. The dates are not confirmed yet, but most likely it will start on the first Monday of August (August 3rd) and will run every day except Sunday. Only in that time US passport's holders and Israeli citizens are welcome to DPRK.
