INDIVIDUAL TOURS
We can provide you with individual tour to DPRK year-round with guides fluent in English, German, Russian, French, Japanese and Chinese.
That is probably the best way to see the country. Look at the prices for some of independent tours below and three suggested itineraries as well. Each itinerary will be tailor-made to fit with your requirements (tour duration, places to visit, exit/entry methods etc), so the tour cost might be slightly different. Please note, that some places in the DPRK are not open for tourists.
Don't forget please that our individual tours are fully inclusive from Beijing and our prices are very reasonable!
What is in the tour price?
Prices INCLUDE:
- The cost of round-trip tickets (flight/train) Beijing-Pyongyang-Beijing (flights with Air Koryo)
- Your own tour itinerary
- Twin room accommodation in the 4* hotel (Pyongyang) and 3* hotel in province
- All travel within the DPRK
- Three meals a day except on the train out of DPRK
- Tour guides service
- Entry tickets to all museums, exhibitions etc. included in the itinerary.
Prices DO NOT include:
- Visa fee
- Single room supplement (30 EUR per person/night)
- Some entry fees, mentioned in the itinerary, like Mass Games (from 80 EUR/person), Circus Performance (10-20 EUR/person), lift to Chuche Tower (5 EUR/person) etc.
- Optional tips for guides and driver (about 20-25 EUR total), your additional expenses for beverages etc.
Remember that individual tours to North Korea are very similar to group tours of their organization; two Korean guides and a driver accompany all tours. However, independent travelers will be offered an individual means of transportation and enjoy more time and flexibility.
Important! You have to begin the application procedure at least 4 weeks before the departure date.

We can offer you also additional trip to Mt. Paekdusan ( highest peak of the Korean Peninsula - 2750m ) and Mt. Chilbo by special charter flights. The world's highest and deepest Crater Lake Chon (384 m max depth) is on the top of sacred Mt.Paekdusan. By funicular railway we can reach the top and then by cable car go down to the crater. Booking and Payment
To book your individual tour please download and send us by e-mail filled out application form. A tour deposit (50% of the total tour price) is required due to hold your train/ plane seat and to process your visa with the North-Korean authorities. It should be paid by bank transfer, credit cards are not accepted. Your tour arrangement cannot be start before you paid tour deposit. The remaining tour fee should be paid either in cash (Euro) upon your arrival in Beijing (at least 1-2 days before the tour departure) or by another bank transfer at least 15 days before the tour start.
Cancellation and Insurance
If Korea Discovery cannot arrange your trip by some reasons (visa refusal by DPRK authorities, "higher power" etc.) the full amount will be refunded. If the client cancels the tour after the reservations and visa application have already been processed only partial refund (30 % total tour cost) will be made.
Remember please it is your responsibility to be covered by insurance that will include adequate cover for medical expenses, your baggage etc.
