Pyongyang- Panmunjom – Kaesong - Sariwon - Myohyang - Pyongyang
Note please! Slight changes in the itinerary are possible after arrival in DPRK.
Day 1 (Thu, Apr 12th) – arrive in Pyongyang by Air Koryo flight JS 252 at 17:00. Meet guides at Sunan airport. Short sightseeing city-tour with visiting Arch Triumph (three meter higher than the one in Paris). Check in and dinner at the Yanggakdo 4* Hotel.
Day 2 (Fri, Apr 13th) – Breakfast. Drive to Panmunjom (village, where the 1953 armistice that halted the Korea War was signed), DMZ on the 38 parallel with Military Muzeum, Concrete wall. Drive to Kaesong (ancient capital of the first unified state on the Korean peninsula (Koryo) and home of Koryo Ginseng). Lunch at Tongil Restaurant with national Korean cuisine Pansanggi. City tour, Koryo Museum (first Confucius University), Sonjuk Bridge, King Kongmin Tomb, walking in Janamsan Park with panoramic view of Kaesong.Check in Folk Custom Hotel 3* with heated floor (no beds!). Dinner.
Day 3 (Sat, Apr 14th) – Breakfast. Drive to Sariwon. Sariwon Folk Street, Songbul Temple. Lunch. Back to Pyongyang.Korean War Museum with animated 1:200 models (moving soldiers, blasting bombs and revolutionary music),US spy ship “Pueblo” (captured by North Korea in1968). Dinner at the restaurant.
Day 4 (Sun, Apr 15th) – Kim Il Sung’s 100th Birthday – Day of the Sun. Breakfast. Kumsusan Memorial Palace - Mausoleum of Kim Il Sung (please no T-shirts, jeans, mini skirts etc.), RevolutionaryMartyrs Cemetery (memorial to revolutionaries who fought against Japanese occupation), JucheTower(150 mhigh view over the city, lift is 5 Euro/person). Lunch at the restaurant. Flower Show of Kimilsungia and Kimjongilia, Moranbong Park, Pyongyang’s Metro (probably the deepest and the most beautiful subway in the world-wall size mosaic paintings and marble everywhere, some stations about 150 m under surface), expected Mass Dance Evening at the Kim Il Sung’s Square. Dinner at Chongryu Restaurant (Hot Pot).
Day 5 (Mon, Apr 16th) – Breakfast. Drive to Myohyang mountains (one of the six celebrated mountains of Korea). International Friendship Exhibition (Halls of gifts to Eternal President Kim Il Sung and Dear Leader Kim Jong Il), Buddhist Temple Pohyon, Monks’ Cemetery. Lunch. Back to Pyongyang. King Tongmyong’s Mausoleum (the founder of the Koguryo Kingdom), Book & Stamp Shop (you can ask about some propaganda posters there), Department Store. Farewell Dinner at Duck Restaurant.
Day 6 (Tue, Apr 17th) – Breakfast. Transfer to airport; depart to Beijing by JS 151 at 9:00 am.
